I have been in teaching and education, secondary and tertiary for much of my life and I switched careers later in life and became a psychotherapist, initially helping those whose quality of life was being adversely affected by bullying in the workplace, or who were suffering with toxic relationships. I also help with confidence building, fears and phobias, trauma and helping deal with religious indoctrination.
We all seek peace of mind. That leads to greater confidence, assertiveness and an improved quality of life that was diminished because of mental turmoil, persistent low mood, anxiety, fear, or stress. "This kind soul (John), has opened my eyes & I feel more receptive to the changes & mindset I have set about my week. The little wins which inturn, are actually big wins.
The way I recognise situations that may have been difficult to process before but now, given a new way of thought process & accessing my brain!! Oh wow! One of my favourite things to do, are my mental health walks. (The build up of working through covid, poor health etc got too much for me & I became a hermit & didn't leave the house for weeks/months at a time, not even to go to the shops or open the door for my post. Unless I was going to work, I wasn't leaving my safe zone).
